SIPs and Post Frame
Post-Frame Construction is an engineered wood building system that features large solid sawn or Glulam columns and beams instead of studs or light gauge steel studs.
In Post-Frame construction wood Columns (Posts) function as support columns. for integrated wood framing components. Wood columns can buried in the ground like a traditional Pole Barn or mounted to steel connectors in the foundation.
Wood timber rafters or steel plate trusses and purlins make up a roof support system.
With the frame up it is quick, cost effective, energy efficient to cover both the walls and roof with large SIPs.
Post Frame can be used for both larger Accessory Structures and Artisan Dwelling Units.
We have developed plans for a few Shouses / Shomes. Combing both function into one building.
